This caricature not only captures Satyajit Ray but also brings his message of futurism to life. As a visionary who was far ahead of his time he is pointing forward to the future he wished to manifest for millions to enjoy. This gesture is a monument of his clairvoyant efforts; not so dissimilar from a magician’s wand wave.
About the Artist:
Syamantak Chattopadhyay is doing Post Graduation in Economics. Alongside, he is a freelance illustrator, journalist and story teller. He regularly writes for some reputed e- magazines and little magazines and occasionally for various children’s periodicals. His interest in literature urges him to love comic and graphic novels as well. His artwork is the caricature drawing of the maestro Satyajit Ray, whom he considers the greatest figure of Indian Cinema.
