Trailblazer Award

“Last night” by Ankan Karmakar using Catchphrase “Crumpled thoughts / ভাঙ্গাচোরা ভাবনা”.

Last night

Extremely promising, both in terms of skills and ideas. The work shows a continuation of not only motifs, but thoughts as well. The catchphrase beautifully depicted through the continuity and the discontinuity of the two fragmented images. The matte colours create the suitable effects for the same.“-JURY

Curious

“An extremely provocative thought, conveyed through striking visuals. Amazing cross-reference of myth and modernity in this work. Simple, yet hard hitting, minimalistic, and thought-provoking.”JURY
